Indoor Water Parks, A New Trend In Winter Trips


Indoor water parks more and more seem to appear more and more in recent years across the United States. They tend to be popular, in places which have long winters, but they are also becoming popular in places like Nevada. The highest concentration of indoor water parks in Wisconsin, and more can be found in Wisconsin Dells.

Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin is often referred to as the "Water Capital of the World" and for good reason. With 18 indoor water parks, is easily the most water parks in any state in the United States. First Wisconsin Dell Indoor Water Park was built in 1994 and was the Polynesian Resort Hotel. Since the number of indoor water parks in Wisconsin Dells area has skyrocketed. Today, water parks all trying to make your park a bit larger, reaching for the title of being the largest water park in America.

Currently, the largest indoor water park in the nation is the Kalahari Waterpark Resort in Wisconsin Dells. A 125,000 square foot indoor water park they truly massive and includes the new FlowRider ®, which allows vacationers to bodyboard or surf 365 days a year. The water park has also cavalry raft of family, a lazy river, a playground, an indoor wave pool and much more.

Two other states are jumping into the industrial park within the water resource and are Ohio and Michigan. Ohio has five stations, an indoor water park, three of which are spin-offs of the stations in Wisconsin Dells Great Wolf Lodge and Kalahari Resort. Michigan currently has six indoor water parks and also contains a spin-off of the Grand Lodge of the Wolf. The Great Wolf Lodge currently has seven stations around the indoor water park in the United States.

This winter, when planning your next vacation take a look into the many water parks that are scattered throughout the United States. No need to travel south to enjoy the warm weather activities and water. You can go north, where indoor water parks to ensure that all your vacation days will be sunny and 75 degrees.
